2023 Willow 300

FINISHED!! This past week myself and Nautique Sky Kennel completed the Willow 300 Sled Dog Race. It was a phenomenal experience! The dogs did amazing, navigating some tricky terrain and trail conditions and handling weather conditions that were much warmer than comfortable. We competed hard with some of the best dog teams in the world, and I couldn’t be more proud of how the dogs did. I was extremely happy to have both my parents come up from WI to be a part of my human team, along with my two handlers Deke (owner of the dogs) and Eric, and Nikki who was able to come down for the finish!! I also had two amazing friends from Fairbanks (Liz and Cole) who were at the race and supported me. And at the start, I had a whole crew of family and friends. I could not have done this race without you all! And I wanted to share my deepest appreciation for the support I received from everyone else on Facebook through Deke and my mom’s posts.. I was blown away by how much support I received - THANK YOU!!
