Ella ('Nieces' litter, 2023, female) came to the kennel as a puppy from fellow musher Bridget Watkins and is named after one of Deke's nieces. She has a striking orange look, very different from most of the other dogs in the kennel. She is a small girl but has a very beautiful, smooth running style. Her focus is intense and recently, that focus has been leaned upon to lead the team. She hasn't done very many races to date since she's young but figures to be a major part of our race team into the future.
